Cookies & device storage
What IG-AIM stores in your browser, why it is used and how you can control it.
Effective and last updated: 1 November 2026 · Version 1.0
More than cookies
This policy covers cookies, local storage and session storage. The public information pages do not add advertising or analytics trackers. The signed-in application uses device storage to operate your account and retain learning preferences. A cookie banner is not a substitute for describing these technologies accurately.
Account and learning storage
On the web, igcse-ai.user.session stores the signed-in session. The igcse-ai.user.chats prefix stores local conversation history associated with a user. These entries can persist between visits until cleared or removed by the application. Sign out before sharing a device. Server-side copies of reports and usage records are governed by the Privacy Policy.
Preferences and temporary information
Language, theme and font-size choices use igcse_ai_user_language, igcse_ai_user_theme_mode and igcse_ai_user_font_size. Sidebar and onboarding preferences may also persist locally. The igaim.onboarding.draft session entry holds temporary onboarding input and is cleared by the completed flow or browser session. These settings support your chosen interface and are not advertising identifiers.
Third-party connections
The public information pages serve brand fonts from our own site. The application may load Google Fonts, which receives network information such as IP address and request headers. Payment pages hosted by Paymob use that provider’s own storage and policies. Server or administration interfaces may use security and session cookies where applicable. We do not claim that a third-party payment page is cookie-free.
Your controls
Use browser settings to inspect or clear cookies and site storage. Clearing storage can sign you out, reset preferences and remove locally saved chats; save work you need first. Blocking all storage may prevent account features from working. Microphone and notification permissions are managed separately in your browser or device settings. If non-essential analytics or advertising tools are introduced, their disclosures and any legally required consent controls must be provided before activation. Questions: [email protected].
