ONE QUESTION AT A TIME

Let’s work
through it.

Why does the verb change to “helps”?

“University” is a singular subject. In the present simple, we add -s to the verb: university helps.

BUILT AROUND THE WAY YOU LEARN

Ask a better question.

A question, an explanation, another attempt. That’s where understanding starts.

The goal isn’t just
a finished answer.
It’s knowing why.

Give your question useful context

Start with your English course, exam board, syllabus code and the question you are attempting. Explain which step is confusing. If you have a diagram or a source, include the relevant information rather than expecting the assistant to infer it.

Ask for reasoning before a final answer

Try a prompt such as: ‘Explain the first step, then ask me to try the next step.’ Compare the explanation with your textbook or class notes. If two methods disagree, ask your teacher which method and notation your course expects.

Turn a conversation into revision

After reviewing an explanation, close it and solve a similar question yourself. Write down the point you missed and revisit it in your next study session. This gives your revision a specific target instead of only rereading a finished answer.

Study in Arabic; practise the required terminology

An Arabic explanation may help you understand an unfamiliar idea, while an English practice answer helps you rehearse the vocabulary your paper expects. Always follow the language requirements of your particular subject and exam.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Questions before you start

What should I include in an IGCSE AI tutor prompt?

Include the subject, exam board, syllabus code, full question and your attempted answer. Say which step you need help understanding.

Are AI explanations always correct?

No. Check grammar, vocabulary, quotations and syllabus details against trusted course materials or your teacher before relying on them.

Which subjects does IG-AIM support?

The current service focuses on English language, ESL and English literature. Check the live skill and Co-Teacher catalogues for the exam boards, levels, papers and exercises available to your account. Maths and science tutoring are not advertised as supported features.

What can I upload for writing feedback?

The app offers image and document attachment controls. Use clear, complete pages and include the task context. Accepted formats and limits are shown by the relevant workflow. Only upload material you are entitled to use.

Can I practise speaking?

Yes, where enabled for your account. Speaking workflows use microphone audio and can produce feedback about grammar, pronunciation and improvement areas. Exam-style scores are practice estimates, not certified exam results.

Can students under 18 use IG-AIM?

Yes, students under 18 need approval from a parent or legal guardian through the separate email invitation before an account is created. The guardian can review the policies, approve or decline, and withdraw later. Lecturer registration is restricted to people aged 18 or older.

How do I get help with a technical problem?

Open a support ticket in the app or email [email protected]. Include the affected feature, approximate time and a screenshot with private information removed. Never send your password, verification code or full payment-card details.
